CARMEN WEGHAUS

FOUNDER & CO-OWNER; HEAD TEACHER; THAI YOGA MASSAGE PRACTITIONER; SPECIALISED YOGA PROGRAMS (PRE-/POSTNATAL, YOGA FOR ATHLETES)

 

Carmen has been practising yoga regularly since 2001 and started teaching in early 2007. After exploring different yoga styles, she found slower paced, mindful Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga most beneficial for herself and her students.

She is passionate about yoga in a therapeutic context, especially for injury prevention, restoring/maintaining best possible natural movement and building resilience.

Her classes are accessible and combine traditional concepts and modern-day research. Carmen is fascinated by the recent findings of Neuroscience which allow her to explain the positive effects of mindful movement and conscious breathing on the nervous system and the brain from a scientific point of view.

Briana had been practising yoga for several years before she decided to sign up for a teacher training in 2017. However, it took another year until she found her spark during a workshop and another teacher training with Octavio Salvado (The Practice, Bali) who favours a rather traditional approach on Hatha & Yin yoga.

Briana loves to slow down the pace in class to allow more time for exploring and experiencing the poses. Through carefully chosen breathing exercises and movements she prepares her students for the deep meditation that completes each session.

Not every member of the team is a yoga teacher. Klaus is responsible for the less visible side of the business - marketing, finance and system administration – and he takes care of corporate clients and suppliers.

As a soccer coach, active player and passionate runner he lays an emphasis on injury prevention through holistic training concepts which include yoga as well as strength and conditioning exercises in addition to the sport’s specific drills.
